Analisis kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika pada materi lingkaran
Abstract
"Students' mathematical critical thinking skills are essential in learning mathematics. This skill enables students to understand problems, identify relationships between statements, and use strategies to solve problems and draw appropriate conclusions. Indicators of mathematical critical thinking skills include interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference. This study aims to analyze students' critical thinking skills in the topic of circles in grade VIII at SMPN 4 Silo Jember. The method used is descriptive qualitative research, with the research subjects being eleventh-grade students. The instruments used consisted of a mathematical critical thinking skills test and an interview guideline. The results showed that students with high critical thinking skills can consistently meet all indicators, while students with moderate skills are only consistent in interpretation indicators. Students with low abilities showed difficulty in interpreting problems and drawing appropriate conclusions."
