Pengaruh High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) terhadap Nilai VO2 Maks pada Orang Dewasa Muda: Literature Review

Abstract


Penyakit kardiovaskular (CV) adalah penyebab utama kematian orang dewasa di dunia. CVD di masa depan akan menjadi salah satu masalah yang akan bertahan dalam jangka panjang. Seseorang yang memiliki kebugaran kardiorespirasi (CRF) tinggi dan VO2 maks memiliki risiko rendah terkena CVD. Salah satu aspek pencegahan CVD adalah olahraga untuk meningkatkan kebugaran kardiorespirasi. Latihan interval intensitas tinggi (HIIT) merupakan latihan yang memiliki banyak manfaat, salah satunya adalah meningkatkan kebugaran kardiovaskular dengan cara meningkatkan VO2 maks. Dengan peningkatan VO2 maks, risiko CVD akan menurun dan pencegahan yang lebih baik dimulai pada usia muda. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) terhadap kadar VO2 maks pada dewasa muda. Metode penelitian menggunakan studi Literature Review. Pengumpulan data melalui Pubmed, Science direct, dan Google Scholar dalam 10 tahun terakhir. Didapatkan 668 artikel yang kemudian disaring sehingga 7 artikel dengan berbagai jenis penelitian seperti studi komparatif, randomized control trial, dan clinical trial, layak untuk direview. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan VO2 maks. Hal ini terkait dengan Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) yang nantinya akan mempengaruhi respon adaptif tubuh. High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) lebih baik dalam meningkatkan VO2 maks dibandingkan dengan latihan lainnya
