Upaya Menurunkan Tingkat Anxiety Atlet Ukm Petanque Universitas PGRI Semarang pada Pertandingan Melalui Teknik Relaksasi
Abstract
Anxiety is a common psychological condition experienced by many individuals, including studens, workers,
and athletes, wich can negatively impact their quality of life and performance. Anxiety in athletes in general
there are still many who feel anxious and afraid when going to perform. Therefore, treatment is needed to
maxmize athlete performance in competition. The purpose of this reserch wis to determine the efforts made and
the impact of profiding relaxation techniques in reducinge the anxiety level of petanque athletes. The subjects
in this study were 25 petanque UGRIS UKM athletes who will be compete. This study uses a quasi-experimwnt
approach with quantitative methods with a one group pretest-posttest design. The results of this study were 25%
of respondents who still experienced symptoms of anxiety as shown in the result of CSAI-2 scale calculation
with an average of 25% of the anxiety level still detected in each indicator. Significance tasting in hypothesis
testing using the t significance test, namely be comparing t count with t table (dk = n - 3 = 72). it Can be
concluded that t count > t table so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the result of the research that
has been conducted, it is concluded that there is an effort to reduce the level of anxiety in petanque athletes can
be done by providing relaxation techniques, this treathment show that there is a negative and significant
relationship between anxiety levels and relaxation treathment with a corelation coefficient of 0.672.
