Evaluasi Program Pembinaan Prestasi Atlet Bola Tangan Kabupaten Nias Selatan Di Kejurda Handball Piala Gubernur Sumatera Utara 2025

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of evaluating the handball athlete achievement development program in South Nias Regency in the North Sumatra Governor's Cup Handball Championship. This study uses a descriptive research method with an evaluation approach using the CIPP model, namely evaluating the context components including: 1. Coaching objectives; 2. Coaching planning strategies. The input component includes: 1. Athlete conditions; 2. Coach conditions; 3. Support for infrastructure; 4. Funding support. The process component includes: 1. Coaching implementation; 2. Training program implementation. The product component includes: 1. Individual program results; 2. Team program results. The results of this evaluation study show an overall average score of 80% in the good category, with a context evaluation score of 83.3% in the good category, an input evaluation score of 84.2% in the very good category, a process evaluation score of 80% in the good category and a product evaluation score of 85.2% in the very good category. The results of this study indicate that the evaluation of the handball athlete achievement development in South Nias Regency in the context component has been carried out well in terms of talent search, athlete development and achievement aspects. Judging from the input component, the implementation of coaching has been quite good, judging by the condition of the athletes and coaches. However, support and funding are still lacking. Judging from the process component, it has not been implemented well. Judging from the implementation and training program aspects for handball athletes, it has been well implemented. Judging from the evaluation results of the product component, it has not yet met the target objectives
