Penyuluhan Program Peningkatan Daya Tahan Kardiorespirasi Dengan Latihan Jalan Cepat Pada Mahasiswa Fisioterapi Poltekkes Surakarta

Abstract


Based on previous research, it was found 51.32% from 226 students of the Department of Physiotherapy Poltekkes Kemenkes Surakarta have cardiorespiratory endurance less than normal. One of exercises that can be done to increase cardiorespiratory endurance is brisk walking exercises. Brisk walking exercise are easy to do, simple, and proven to improve cardiorespiratory endurance. The purpose of this program is to increase knowledge about how is brisk walking exercises to increase cardiorespiratory endurance and increase cardiorespiratory endurance in students of the Department of Physiotherapy, Poltekkes, Ministry of Health, Surakarta. The methods used are counseling about the effect of brisk walking exercises to improve cardiorespiratory endurance and brisk walking exercise programs to increase cardiorespiratory endurance. The implementation of this program was at campus of the Department of Physiotherapy, Poltekkes Kemenkes Surakarta in February-October 2022. The results of the activity were increasing knowledge about brisk walking exercise to increase cardiorespiratory endurance from the average value 68.25 to 89.5 point, and increasing cardiorespiratory endurance from the average VO2 max value of 41.575 ml/kg/min to 45.275 ml/kg/min.

 

Sebesar 51,32% dari 226 mahasiswa Jurusan Fisioterapi Poltekkes Kemenkes Surakarta mempunyai daya tahan kardiorespirasi pada kategori kurang dari normal. Salah satu latihan yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan daya tahan kardiorespirasi adalah latihan jalan cepat. Latihan jalan cepat mudah dilakukan, sederhana, dan terbukti dapat meningkatkan daya tahan kardiorespirasi. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah peningkatan pengetahuan tentang pengaruh latihan jalan cepat untuk meningkatkan daya tahan kardiorespirasi dan peningkatan daya tahan kardiorespirasi pada mahasiswa Jurusan Fisioterapi Poltekkes Kemenkes Surakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan tentang pengaruh latihan jalan cepat untuk meningkatkan daya tahan kardiorespirasi dan program latihan jalan cepat untuk meningkatkan daya tahan kardiorespirasi. Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan di kampus Jurusan Fisioterapi Poltekkes Kemenkes Surakarta pada bulan September-Oktober 2022. Hasil kegiatan adalah : peningkatan pengetahuan tentang pengaruh latihan jalan cepat untuk meningkatkan daya tahan kardiorespirasi dari nilai rerata 68,25 menjadi 89,5 dan peningkatan daya tahan kardiorepirasi mahasiswa Jurusan Fisioterapi dari nilai rerata VO2 max 41,575 ml/kg/min menjadi 45,275 ml/kg/min.
