PEMANFAATAN BATU BLONDOS SUNGAI LONING DESA MLUWEH KEC. UNGARAN TIMUR KAB. SEMARANG SEBAGAI SUBSTITUSI AGREGAT PADA CAMPURAN ASPAL POROUS
Abstract
Porous asphalt is an open graded mixture with a large percentage of coarse aggregate, a small percentage of fine aggregate, thus providing a large air void. Porous asphalt is an innovation to reduce standing water on the road surface. Porous asphalt has a low stability value but has a high permeability value caused by the large number of cavities in the pavement layer mix as a drainage system. Porous asphalt is used on roads that have low traffic. This study aims to determine the value of the permeability and strength of the material based on the Marshall criteria with aggregates sourced from Kakaskasen and regulated in the laboratory so that it has parameters of mixture composition as filler and 60/70 penetration asphalt as binder. The mix design is based on the aggregate composition in accordance with the gradation requirements (Asphalt Concrete-Wearing Course) or abbreviated as AC-WC and the approximate asphalt content is searched for a Marshall test object. The asphalt content was determined first using 60/70 penetration asphalt as a binder and a Marshall test object was made with 5 variations of blondos stone content and testing was carried out to obtain a permeability value where the water in the tube fell freely into the mold containing the test object at a certain height until it passed through the cavity. on the mix. The results showed that in the porous asphalt mixture, the best asphalt content was 4.7% with blondos stone content of 75%, the stability value was 870.1 mm, flow was 5.5 mm, VIM = 19.6%, MQ = 203.4 kg/mm, all the values of the Marshall criteria meet the specification limits. The results of the research showed that the permeability of porous asphalt was 0%; 0.48 cm/s , 25%; 0.81 cm/s, 50%; 0.60 cm/s, 75%; 0.34 cm/s, 100%; 0.63 cm/s, of all the asphalt permeability values that meet the limits of the specification criteria are 75% blondos stone mixture. Based on this research, it was found that the porous asphalt mixture using material sourced from the Loning River using a 60/70 penetration asphalt binder has a high stability value and has a high permeability value, but the mixture is still suitable for use on low-traffic road conditions. Thus, it is recommended for the porous asphalt mixture to do more research using different material sources and binders and further research is needed on marshall performance along with the effect of strength on the pavement mixture.
